Today members discussed the implications of the Manatee School of Arts in Tampa being the first school nation-wide to implement long-gun security measures. This comes in wake of the Parkland School Shooting and has some serious considerations, such as gun reform and safety in our schools. We tied this theme into reports of mass shootings increasing in the United States and the various gun control laws being passed in Florida.
